Our HCA’s/phlebotomists will take blood tests as requested by your doctor, conduct NHS Health Checks and Smoking Cessation Clinics. The HCAs continue to increase their skills to help with diagnostic tests (ECGs, 24 hour BP etc.) usually conducted by the Practice Nurses. The phlebotomy clinics are held three times a week, by appointment only, on Monday, Tuesday and Friday mornings. The bloods are sent to the hospital for testing and results are normally known within 24-48 hours. However we ask that you allow time for your doctor to read the results which they do daily. We are able to test INR for anticoagulation monitoring on specialist equipment here at the surgery. Please ask at reception for an appointment.
Anne is available to help with any non-medical problems and is responsible for the smooth running of the surgery. If you have any suggestions or complaints regarding the services offered by the surgery, please ask for an appointment to see Anne who will be happy to discuss them with you.
Assistant Practice Manager
Our front line practice staff are trained to help you. Their job is often difficult and demanding; having to deal with patients and doctors at the same time. They have a lot of information at their finger tips and a brief explanation of your problem can enable them to suggest the right person for advice or to offer the most suitable appointment. All staff have the utmost respect for our patients and their needs and we ask that this is reciprocated by recognising the challenges that the staff face on a daily basis in providing a robust service. The rules of confidentiality apply to all practice staff and any concerns should be reported to the Practice Manager.
